According to Travis: The concept was inspired by Collis P. Huntington getting a parking ticket in Guyandotte for tying his horse up in the wrong spot. He was visiting to plan a train depot there, but after getting the ticket, he said 'fuck off' and built his own city right next to it. Huntington eventually swallowed up the offending town and incorporated it!
