On June 20, 1963 John F. Kennedy delivered a speech in front of the West Virginia State Capitol to celebrate WV’s 100th birthday. He’d spent a good amount of time in WV over the past few years and appeared to be genuinely moved by the state, especially by the people themselves. We get it, the people here are pretty special!
